Conflict hopping and social media are two phrases that don’t seem like they belong together in the same sentence. Violent actors the likes of Red Faction Army or Khmer Rouge were often supported or useful to enemy states, but faded away before the 2000’s. Today’s Millenarian groups use the connectivity of the Internet and a free agent approach to extend their lifespans.
